ok heres the story, i think my cousin is making a bad desicion, he is trading an 05 450r, heres the mods
-gibson fox front end
-gibson stabilizer
-flexx bars
-gibson stem
-quadtech hood
-podium rear shock
-axcaliber axle
-the motor, is a beast....an expensive beast, alot to list...

he might trade that for a can am, with stock everything, not the one thats all done up with mods, the cheaper version... its a used 08

Personally speaking that's a horrible decision. I believe he could sell his bike and be way ahead of buying a stock 08 ds. But to each their own, weather it be the smart desicion or not.

I personally would not trade straight up for a can-am for the quad with details as listed.... I would possibly try and part it out and buy a used can am.. is he doing it just for the contingency or does he want something new also?

Where you guys are running NEATV its hard not to look at the can-am's especially with all the support that they provide up there. But I would not trade for a stock 08 used DS. You can pick up new in crate 08's over here for $3500. If i was to trade I would put the 450r back to stock and then tell him you will trade.

He has more in mods than a brand new can am.... Please convince him not to.

HA. Jealous of what? Jealous that my bike hasn't locked up it's trans or caught fire yet? Both of which i've witnessed first hand.. Jealous that your Kawi is a slow turd?

Your not going to last long around here. i've seen plenty on honda's trannys blow, and since you ride an 06ER, you really shouldnt be throwing stones because your tranny is nothing to brag about and has the weakest electric start you can buy.


on topic i think the can-am contingency is awesome but jared also gotta think about how many other people in his class are going to be on Can-ams, i would just keep the honda personally.
