Sorry about the post below. I didn't realize that we could go up to a 125 2 stroke in this class. Do you think the 300 ex would still be a good choice for a 125 engine? Once again, the driver is 13 years old, 5'4" and about 120 lbs with gear. I am not only looking for the best chassis, but economics also play a big role in my decision as far as aftermarket parts and such. Thanks again for your great advice.

400ex would be a better choice...pipe fitment on a cr85 in a 300ex is a squeeze, the frame s on the 300 continually crack or break(more so than the 400)the 400 frame is lighter and if used stock its about 4 inches wider than the 300 witha better swingarm setup.as a plus the after market parts are everywhere for the 400ex...

i have a blaster with a crf250 power plant that will beat 450s BUT if i had it to do all over i would use a 400or450 chassis.the blaster is still a little on the short side to handle equivalent to a full size.........

If you are allowed to use the 4 stroke 250, they are better to use because they vibrate a lot less, then the 2 strokes. We have built both, and they are a better quad motor, more torque, and better overall power. there are a couple pictures on our web site, kidsonquads.com, the readers rides section.
