spray paint will not stay on very long and may not look that good, but for $250 you could have your frame done very bling!!(awesome looking) from pappy, just pm him he does great work

Yeah but where do you ride. The factory paint didn't last a month for me trailriding.

rocky trails and gravel pits, I live in north stonington, you can tell just by the name of my town that its rocky, i've got full skid plate protection tho

but even where the boots hit the frame it hasnt rubbed off real bad, and hasn't flaked or peeled either

muff what the **** kind of paint did you use. i was going to get POR15 hardnose paint but if thats cheaper what you used and still looks that good and dont chip like i see in the pic then i might want to do that

dont give muff a hard time..lol

if the frame is prepped and painted with a quality auto paint and cleared...and IF flex additives are added it will hold up pretty darn well. i saw a quad the other night that was painted in an autobody shop with no real precautions....the fella said it was done 8 years ago. looked good to me:)

dont believe everything you hear....some people are so set in thier ways that any thing different just has to be wrong:rolleyes: i still think pc is the best...but if you do it right...automotive paint will hold up decent. get skid plates and frame gaurds...and go riding:)

thanks pappy

i used PJ1 frame paint and primer, your local shop should have it, rockymountain has it to, i sanded the entire thing down to bare metal, put on 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of the paint, no clear coat but if I were to do it again I woulda put some on, actually I woulda got it a nice pc

dont get me wrong it will chip, but it doesnt flake off, and will only chip where you hit it, I have full skid plates on it so it getting chipped from the bottom isnt a problem

hows the POR15 stuff work I havent really heard much about it

go buy 2 cans of aircraft (or any car paint stripper)

some safety glasses and rubber gloves

2-3 inch wire wheels for a drill

1-1 inch flat wire wheel

spray on the stripper.....let it set up for 20 mins....wash with hose and let dry.....repeat till almost all paint is gone. then wire wheel all the rest. keep it dry after the paint is removed.....then send to me.....for proper bling application...lmgdao
