As opposed to the look of the rich overprivleged so called baseball fans as they were losing game one? While they were paying what $3k a seat. I bet that felt awesome also. The yankees have more money on the infield than the phillies have in a whole team. IF you win congrats on buying a championship and continue praying the economy doesnt get worse and baseball doesnt get a salary cap! Good Job :macho

The highest paying team is Yankies...$208,097,414

A-Rod makes $33,000,000.

Twins are #23 at $67,634,766

Phillies are #8, $111,200,046

The more money you have to spend, you get to buy the best.

The American way

The phillies manager just lost the world series for you philly fans. You NEVER put in a closer in a non save situation. 9.5 times out of 10 they get rocked. I dont know much about your team but with having yesterday off there had to be someone else in the bullpen. Very piss poor move.

so you're more baseball smart than charlie manuel? huh....

please tell me why theres a 95% (9.5 times out of 10 like you say) chance of a closer getting rocked when his teams up by a few runs compared to maybe a 5% chance of getting rocked when its a close game (a save situation)

Its a different mindset. Closing is 110% mental. Most closers in the game dont have the best stuff. I cant think of any closer that is a better pitcher than most aces or #1 starters. Its something in there head. Watch espn or mlb network im sure this will be asked or questioned again. Again I dont know your bullpen situation but im guessing if they made it this far there had to of been a long relief or setup man to pitch in a tied game. Baseball is mental and now the yankees own you! Lets say tomorrow is a different situation phillies are up a couple going into the 9th now the yankees know they can hit your closer and your closer just threw how ever many pitches he threw tonight which I dont know didnt finish watching. This series is over. Lee may win tomorrow but that will be as far as it goes.
