View Full Version : exhaust flange leaking

my exhaust flange where the cylinder meets the pipe is leaking. you can see oil on the motor and smoke come out upon startup.

i see these billet manifolds on ebay with 2 oring seals. are these better? also ESR has one with an oring seal between the cylinder and the manifold. is this design better than the eaby billet one that uses an oem gasket?

Yes the billet o-ring one is 100 times better, I have a esr one and it doesnt leak at all. They are defenitley worth the money

X2 on this one^^^^^ I have one too and it has NEVER leaked.

put a fatter size oring on the stock flange

thats what i do. just make sure thats its hi-temp. i also run a smaller dia one as a backer against the flange of the head pipe. :cool:
