Is it just me or do trick or treaters come earlier every year. When I used to go out we started at like 5. Now they're all running around the neighborhood at 1:30. Nobody is even home lol they got like 1 snickers each (strong strategy)

We take my nephew (4years old) around 2-3. Seems like the older kids come out more 5+ here. I thinks it better for the young ones to go early though. But 1:30 might be pushing it. Plus its a saturday this year.

Yeah I think its a good idea for the younger kids to go out early and stay out of the chaos. But like you said, its Saturday this year so its not like any of them have school tomorrow...Whats the rush to start so early lol. Its not just really young kids running around btw which is why I'm like :huh .... People on my street are trying to do yardwork and stuff and the rest of them aren't home... wtf haha

We also have parents that drive like 8 kids around in dodge caravans and DRIVE the kids to each house so they don't have to walk. they leave all the doors open and just jump in and out all night. yes i am serious it makes me rage.

We live in a subdivision and they started here at like 430. We went to dinner and started handing out candy at 630 and have only had maybe 10 kids. I think the flu has scared alot of people away from taking their kids out this year:ermm:

Good point! I think your right. We had that bunch at 1:30... another bunch at around 5:30-6 ... and no one since. Maybe 20 total trick or treaters. Just a few years ago every kid in the entire town would be out from dusk until around 10pm... It was awesome seeing every street with tons of people walking around and back in the day everyone did a legit job of dressing up. Today I actually had trick or treaters wearing 100% regular clothes :p

Funny thing is that its about 70 degrees here right now and normally on Halloween its around 50 lol... I thought we would have had 10 times more people.

Looks like me and Kickstarts-suck will be browsing the open forum with unlimited 3 muskateers until 2010

add me to the list of candy for a while. I ended up leaving since we didnt have any trick or treaters at 4:30 yet. I went to the hockey and volleyball games at MTU. I have the bowl sitting next me right now and have already started to munch on it. lol, gotta love reeses, kit kats, and snickers. Steve

Have to get the kids out earlier now a days because of all the damn sickos and weirdos out there. I live in a small farm town maybe 1000 people and just from me running from home to the pizza place which is about 2 miles I seen 4 sherrifs riding around on mtn bikes watching crap. It was posted in the local paper that trick or treating was between 3-6. When i was younger i wouldnt have even thought of leaving the house until dusk and that wasnt that long ago.

I went and spent about 15-20 bucks on candy. Kids started at 6, i was out of candy by 730. Bet 100 or so showed up in that hour and a half. I was trying to watch a movie too, that was bad planning on my part as soon as i sat down the doorbell rang again!

Ours was from 7 - 9 last night. Pretty good turnout of kids from what I could see as I was walking around with mine. I did notice that there were only 1/2 of the houses passing out candy last night than last year.

Where the hell is BFE.

They made a new law here where you can only trick or treat from 4 to 8. thats bull**** if ya ask me.

we lived 10 miles passed bfe, and average about 3 kid per year. last year we shut the light off, but the kids still showed up. we didnt buy candy so mom gave em all a dollar. this year, we had a bout 12 show up, you should have seen their face when mom gave them apples instead of the dollars they were expecting. one boy even asked where his dollar was.

when i was a kid, everybody road their fourwheelers and bikes to other houses to trick or treat, now their parents drive them and walk them to the door

I saw some kids out at about 11:30 Im betting they didnt get much candy, not too many people were home around then.

I was working and just making my run around at 4:00 to close the bathrooms and what not and I see trick or treaters. Not like really little kids but like 10-12 year olds if I had to guess. C'mon like they really need that much time to go around to every house? I swear they come earlier and earlier every year. Then you get the people that come so late your scrambling like wtf they know I'm home but I dont have candy. All I did on Halloween was work until 5:00, come home and eat, take a shower and then tried to figure out what I was going to do. My phone would not stop with text messages and calls everyone wants to hang out and everyone is doing something different lol I ended up taking a lady friend to a party which most of my friends were at so it was good I guess.

we live in the middle of no where. No kids ever come here. Wasn't at home however, but it seemed slow all over. I blame the H1N1 scare.
