Can anyone help me out...I have a 2005 Arctic cat 500 TBX
It starts and Idles great, but as soon as I hit the throttle it bogs and dies, I have pulled the carb and cleaned it out, but it was in great shape inside, when I choke it with my hand it runs great, I am guessing it may be the electric choke messing up but I dont know.
Any help I can get is greatly appreciated, Thanks

Well does your artic cat fi? If not, have you messed with your needle or pilot jet? Give them a check

My arctic cat starts great and idles perfect, all the jets are new and there is no trash in the float bowl.
When I try and throttle up it just stumbles and dies unless I let off the gas. IF I remove the air intake assm. and hold my hand over the carb it will trottle up and rev just fine. That is why I was guessing it was the electric choke. but I just dont know.
Thanks for the help

if your engine runs correct when u put ur hand over the carb your running to lean and when u cover it with ur hand there is less air creating a richer mixture. what u need to do is check your fuel/air mixture screw and make sure all of ur fuel passages are 100% clean and use an air gun with a ruber tip to bow that out check your air filter thats all i can think of let me know how it works out man

Cool, I tried it, it helped a little, but still the same, all is clean inside, I used 125 psi and LOTS of carb cleaner, but it still runs the same....IT has to be the electric choke..I replaced everything else except the whole carb....That is next

Thank you for the tip...appreciate the help

Before you replace the carb you may want to check the fuel pump. Sounds like you may have a vaccume problem.
