416 vs Raptor

would a 416ex with exhaust,piston,cam,right jetting,open air box lid,and a after market air filter beat a raptor in a drag race? mx?

ive seen a 416 with 18" tires, hendrix exhaust, 15 tooth gear and a 416 kit beat a stock raptor pretty bad. and the ? about the mx track all depends on the rider.

i have a 406 and i can spank a stock rapor and i am a big rider i can start in second and when i shift into third i pull away and it is over.

The only Raptor I've put my 416 up against so far is my own. In a short drag (approximately 100-150 yards), my 416 wil usually take my Raptor by a couple of lengths. But if you lengthen the distance to about 300 yards, my Raptor will take the win by several lengths. I'd wager that my 416 would have little trouble taking out a stock Raptor though. As for MX, my 416 has a much broader and smoother power hit. I'd say my EX would definately have the edge on an MX track.

best motor in the world + stock sus. = ussless, if your MX'n, get the shocks, a-arms, brakelines, axel, etc first, but thats JMO, but if you just dragrace, go all for it

my buddy HOT ROD has a 416 and he can beat me on my 03 raptor! i would say we are eqwealy good at drag racing. he has a little more $ in his quad though. hes got the dmc exhuast, fcr39,11-1 piston, hot cam, no lid, k&n,ebc cluches. my raptor is bone stock. by quarter mile i can catch him. that 416 revs so fast! its defenatly a screamer!!!

If you bolt up a good slip-on pipe, ditch the airbox lid, and throw in some big jets, you're drag racing losses will come to an end.
