hey guys. new to the site. i recently picked up a 07 400ex leftover from a local dealer. having a great time with it, but ready to make some upgrades. i primarily ride in the woods, and unfortunatly my area has a frickin ton of rocks (flat tire city) also a lot of steep hills. was wondering what suggestions people had on upgrading the tires. ive heard good things about holeshot hd's. looking for somthing tough/reliable. any help would be great as im new to the sport. thanks!

I bet you picked that baby up for dirt cheap. Awesome considering it's one of the best quads around. I absolutely love my H-Ds, night and day difference between them and stocks. I'd also look into the Maxxis Razrs and Razr 2s. Both are awesome tires as well. Rocky Mountain ATV (http://www.rockymountainatv.com/home.do) is a good place to check out tires.

Here's a picture of my EX when I first put on the H-Ds:

Got ITP holeshots on ITP rims on the front, all good so far. Rims are getting pretty beat but haven't had a flat yet, knock on wood. I ride in all rocks too, ledge, loose rock and boulders. The backs are off ebay, came with douglas S.S. .190 incn rims, thickest I think they make and they still are mint. They came with 4 ply dirt tires and have been pretty decent, only get stuck when I hang the skid on something, but ussually we're all getting hung up on something too.
