Well he got to see and hear them (the geese and ducks)....but they did not stay around long when he walked to the water!

He made his first water retrieve today....the two DNR guys couldnt believe it...neither could I:bl:

He loves the water which I would suspect....but its a good sign that at 8 weeks he is ready to dive in:p

He is learning his name and the "here" command pretty well. he paid no never mind to the birds or the DNR guys that were around.

Naa been pretty quite here really. I will be working him around a 22 as I take him to get some tree rats. I know he isnt gun shy, when we stopped in to pick him up the breeders husband and a buddy were sighting in their deer rifles while all the pups stood a few feet away wanting out of the pen...tails wagging away:p

I did the same with Hunter when he was a pup. He loves the water and it doesn't matter how cold it is.

Also he was less than a year the first time I brought him hunting ... amde sure the sound of the guns didn't bother him. Also he rides on the quad with me ..... best thing I ever did with him since he was a pup. He rides on the passenger seat whenever I go somewhere.
