does anyone run a reed spacer?
i ride trails and occasional hare scramble...
are there any benefits to this on my 250r?

I would NOT run one, less crankcase pressure is not the way to go imo.

as a general consensus, the reed spacer was originally brought about as a means to shorten the gap between the carb and intake of the cylinder due to the short nature of some of the intakes that are avail/used. on a stock smaller bore setup, this has been shown to decrease crank case pressure and as result alter performance a bit but isnt that noticable on the bigbores.

i just talked to a friend and he used them on his yz125 motocross bikes. what he told me (not sure what he meant) that it was helpful in keeping the revs up in a small bore engine...i assume it has something to do with the low torque on a smaller engine.
*does this sound right??
