I got that email also , and the email said it was shot up in my area. So now I'm thinking the email was BS.

In your email, did it say which area it was shot in?

Either way , I don't think i'd shoot a wolf that size ... just too nice of an animal. And I'm a hunter at that !!!

They arent declining here in wisconsin. We cant hunt them, so they are gaining more and more every day and killing off the deer and other species. One wolf pack can demolish a whole eco system of deer in a very short time. Steve

No one has inquired as to whether or not he was being attacked by the wolf.

If a wolf attacked me, I would merk on site.:scary:

A DNR officer actually talked to me about the wolves around here cuz we live next to a big dairy farm and a wolf ate one one time a few years back, we have a beef farm and having wolves around could be a bad thing for us, personally the only way i'd kill a wolf is if it was gonna attack me or a few of our cows but otherwise they help balance deer population around here and plus I like to watch animals weather it be deer of wolves or whatever.

A top line predator like that needs to be kept in check.....especially in certain areas as the article states.

Wolves are no joke, and to a farmer they are nothing but a dangerous pest.

They used to be pretty much everywhere, but man pushed them to the fringe of both being extinct and to the furthest reaches of the areas we call home. The hunting of wolves is very well regulated and a needed evil. I have no intrest to hunt them but respect the states that have seasons for them.
