just did the wirring bypass on an '09 (70). Does the little white resistor on the right side top frame rail go or stay? whats it there for?

The quad runs fine, idle and revs ok but at WOT is misses and seems to just cut out.

It is grounded twice (motor to frame) CDI wires are soldered. I know it's been covered but the quad isnt running right after the bypass.

I was told to get rid of the resistor. I did and it runs fine. Not sure what it is for though.

The white things are called ballist resistors. They are there to help the charging system. If you are eliminating the charging system(electric starter and lighting) then the resistors are not needed.
