I'm thinking of 300ex/250r hybrid or go with a 400ex based one? I thought the 300ex frame will be lighter , right? Will the motor fit in there ( 250r)

this seems backwards to me,why would you use the 400ex or 300ex frame.use a 250r frame with a 250r motor! the idea is to have the best chassis, hince why most use the 250r frame with 4 stroke motors, best of both worlds.you will be going backwards,in my opinion, using either of those frames for that motor, not worth it at all!

if your interested in the 400ex one i got..

mounts for 250r engine in a 400ex,2 spacers for the swing arm, 2 front mounts, 2 underneath, and a linkage part for the headstay(can have pics of this)..and the mounts for a stock radiator, plus the boot that goes from the airbox to the carb-$60

I agree with 3 legged dog,I have a yz426 hybrid with the 250r chassis and it handles like no other,I would deff go with a 250r chassis.
