Cleaning Radiator, CLR? Aluminum cleaner?

What should i use to clean my radiator? Its got hard water build up between the fins from washing it with the garden hose and im not sure what the inside looks like. I dont care if paint comes off i just want it to cool well. Will CLR eat the alumium? Should i try that?

Go to your auto parts house and get mag/wire wheel acid. Spray it on and wrinse it off. Don't leave it on there for long!

i would rather not have the chance of ruining it, i just want the paint and hard water build up off. paint thinner maybe? Also i need something i can get quick and i live in a small town.

if your wanting to strip and repaint..... go get some mar-hyde air craft remover, sprat it on and rinse it off with warter. then your ready to paint. :cool:
