Im building a 406 with an 11:1 with stg 2 hotcams cam, hd studs, crf450 timing chain, secondary oil cooler.

Is there any other things i need to do or that would be a good idea to do? I want a reliable build and dont want to take it apart again. Is there something i need to replace that has to do with the valves?
ALL HELP APPRECIATED!

i would replace the valve seals while you have it all apart...and maybe make sure the vavles are seating nice.

i lapped the valves, put in new seals, and my springs were right at the service limit so i replaced them too.. just to be safe.

If you are asking those kind of questions, my advice is send it to a a machine shop who will do it for you.

you'll need a caliper and a manual that tells the service limits

I had a similar problem, dropped one valve and destroyed everything. Do whatever you can to prevent this it is a VERY expensive mistake if not.
