im planning on putting on a 450r rear end on my 300. by this i mean swingarm shock linkage axle and all that good stuff. what im wondering is how bad will this screw up my geometry? the tab for the linkage on the frame will be a bolt on tab that im have a professional fabricator fab up for me. the question is how bad with my geometry be screwed up and will this be a great improvement?

Do a search for user fast426. He put a 450r rear on a 300ex and thought it worked great. The quality of the end setup/geometry depends on how much thought you put into it and how good you are at fabricating. Post some pics while you do it!

If your planning on racing NEATV still you cannot weld anything to the frame that was not there factory(with the exception of gussets and rewelds) so the 450r/250r/400ex swing arm set ups are not allowed.

why not use the no link setup that is factory, i have built many shocks that use the extended swingarm and a nolink shock, do you not like the performance of the stock geometry?

if i end up doing it i plan on using a bolt on piece to the frame to accept linkage. i like the stock geometry. i ws just looking for a better one. just seeing if the 450r would work and and make it more smoother. also the no link swingarms arm known to be choppy over whoops. i was trying to see if i could start to blitz the whoops at my local track

then you've never ridden a well set up 300. i used to be able to hit anything on my 300. i loved that set up! instead of trying stuff thats unproved, run whats proven and win!:blah:
