View Full Version : Help, dropped washer into engine
cruncher

I was replacing a head gasket today and on of the waters for the head bolts fell down by the timing chain way down to the bottom of the engine.
How do I get it out? I really don't want to tear the whole thing apart. I was careful, the washer stuck to the bolt just long enough to pop off while removing it and fall down inside.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
jl

you could try a magnet and try to fish it out that way. it may take a while but you can probably get it out. good luck. steve

It went way down to the bottom. It had to bounce around to get there. I can't even see down there, and don't think I could get a magnet down.

You wont have to tear all the way down just pull clutch cover off.
