hey i went and bought these mini air filters made by uni and installed them and they work great! and the mini filter you can pullout and re-oil them !! so you can use for a long time

-simlpy buy them

-drill 1 inch holes in air box

-pop them in

and i used gorilla glue to make sure they stay in there

I dont have any pics of mine, but I just mapped out a grid on the lid and drilled a series of holes in mine. My dilema was that with the lid on I lost all of my throttle response but having it off was a problem as there are always quite a few wet areas where I ride and splash ups into the airbox were becoming an issue. Therefore I had to find a happy medium somewhere and this seemed to work out really well

I agree with atv fan 28, theres hardly any increase in throttle response maybe slightly, I bought a EHS lid instead and I could feel the response alot better.

I had the same issue as you, and at first I drilled lots of half inch holes all over the back half of the airbox lid, but it looked poxy so I got the jigsaw out and simply cut out a large section of the back half of the airbox lid.

I have a hole about the size of a standard mail envelope which allows all the airflow I'll ever need, but water cannot land directly on the filter. If any water is splashed up onto the airbox it runs down the back of the airbox and out the drain.

I have not had a wet muddy airfilter since, and performance is not affected.

ok they are not usless im getting more air flow than i would with a stock air lid....i have had the ehs power lid and i hated it cuz when i hit some water it would build up on the top of the air lid and then slowly drip into the box

Also what do you think is any different when water gets on top of these?
