450R hrc cams running an 05 cam in 06 up bike

I was reading some info on Matt Smiley and some other peoples engine mods and Smiley was running an 05 HRC cam in his quad I think it was an 08,

I know the HRC cam has changed over the years, did this just fit with his porting etc, but the question was I know the engine changed so I was wondering if this was safe to do running the 05 hrc cam in the 06 up 450R's

the 05 hrc cam will work in the 06 up engines,but it is a top end cam, the 06 up hrc cams are great bottom mid cams.

I would really like to know the difference in power with these two hrc cams. I'd like to try the older cam out since now the power curve on my dyno sheet looks like an upside-down horseshoe. Pretty much 100% midrange power and low rpm torque even with bigger valves and portwork, which was worth about 6hp.
