It really needs an aluminum frame like the kawi. with a cast aluminum swing arm. In my opinion all the manufacturers really need to start putting dirt bike technology into there atv's.

I personally like the steel frame and swinger. Easy maintenance and repair, not to mention lower cost to replace. Besides most guys with aluminum swingers replace them with chromoly ones when they don't hold up. I think that ktm has the right approach when it comes to quad, chromoly is the way to go. Everyone wants aluminum, but if you ask me the ltr holds its own just fine right now. I would rather see updates in the transmission department.

Aluminum frame would add weight not take it away IMO. The kawi and the new yamaha are both pigs and they have Alum frames.

The LTR needs to have the tranny problems completely fixed and Suzuki needs to pony up and put some pro tapers on this thing stock, like Yam and Kaw.

This machine is still probably the best bang for your buck MX wise on the market!

yea in my opinion the only thing suzuki needs t fix is the tranny's. KTM has its own problems. My mechanic bought a 09 KTM 450sx brand new has had it less than 8 months and had been through 2 stock cranks.

Only wish i had one ! the suzuki IS the best thing going for the money ,reading all the other post from other brands seems suzuki has the least amount of problems .the only thing suzuki needs now is to fix tran, chromemoly frame, make two versions XC,mx width.you look at the rest of the brands they have two or more major problems with motor/frame/electrical.IMO
