coolant leak

Quick question. I Have a cracked radiator for an 04 ltz. Local radiator shop said can't be fixed :(. New ones around $400. don't want to spend $200 for a used one that might be in worse shape. Has anyone ever tried a radiator stop leak product on a quad? I am hesitant to use it because i am afraid it will clog the smaller coolant passages in such a small engine or damage the water pump or something. Just curious if anyone ever tried it and what kind of results you or someone you know had. Just curious for some opinions before i try it. Thanks for the advice.

I personally would not do it. I know of people that used it on car cooling systems and it did more bad than good. It clogged more passages in the radiator, but it did stop the leak. But without flow it's useless anyway. A used one is the best solution. A new one is so overpriced it's sickening:ermm:

go on ebay, i guarantee you can get one really cheap
