I picked up a damn near race ready one for $2000
All the mods are in my sig

a close to stock 400ex anywhere from $500 basket case to $1500 running.

I got a 2004 for $1325. It was completely stock.

It had bent handler bars and steering stem. I was able to bent the steering stem and someone was kind enough to give me there used stock handle bars.

Other than that the headlight was out of it. I was able to put it back in without any problems. One of the mounting tabs was broken off but I just put a bolt right through it because the reflector was also broken on one side.

The only other thing that I did was change the oil and grease all the bushings and bearings. They were all pretty dry. Likely still had the factory grease on them. Like everyone know, they use very little grease from the factory.
