Well I have an xr80 with a xr100 motor and i've been riding it stock for awhile but I ordered some parts and they are starting to come in. When i'm done with it I hope it can be competitive with the 110's in the pit bike races. I've never done one but I would like to next year. Here is what I have ordered so far

TB 132cc big bore kit
Hot Cam
Lightened Flywheel
Two bros pipe
BBR rear spring
Starcross tires
Renthal aluminum rear sprocket and chain
TB pod filter
BBR CDI
BBR HD clutch spring
BBR frame cradle
I have a set of kx85 forks, wheel and disc brake that will be going on there. A lot of guys run them on the xr's. All I had to do was order a custom stem and it all bolts right up. I have to modify the triple clamps and make bar risers so I could sit the forks lower so my bike would sit level.

Anyway I got my big bore kit today and filter. My flywheel should be done this week and im just waiting on is my exhaust, tires and stem. Anyone else like to use the xr's as a pitbike?

if i had the money i would love to have one. the smaller xr's seem to be good platforms.

Those perimeter frames are soooooooo expensive. I think I would do a xr/cr conversion before I bought one of those haha. That would be sweet though. Yeah i'm a member on planetminis. Thats how I found out I could run a kx85 front end and thats where I got my 132cc kit.

Well I got my flywheel done today. Took off about 8oz's which is pretty good. I'm sure I could have went more but I just left it at that. I have an extra hydralic clutch that im going to try and rig up once I get my motor back in my frame also.

Get a KLX110! or if you want a big pitbike get a crf80 or 100.

Pitster pros are really good bikes too

i would recommend staying away from any other knock-off bikes.

110's are the most fun in my opinion haha hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread 387 haha i just get pumped about pitbikes!

387 post some pics of your whole bike too haha

Well its just bone stock as of now and not that great looking haha. This is my xr80 but it has an old 86 xr100 motor in it and seat. I have a 95 xr100 motor that im doing all the work to right now that I will be putting in there once it's all done. I want the 95 motor because it runs off CDI instead of points. It will look much different once I get all of my parts on there. I can't wait to try out the kx85 forks and front brake.

I prefer the xr80 over the 100 though. The frames are the EXACT same but the swingarm on the 80 is shorter and the forks are shorter also. The wheels are smaller too but I will be running a 17" front wheet that came on my KX front end instead of the 16" xr80 wheel. That lets me have the choice of running the starcross tires since they don't come in a 16" The 80 just has more of a pitbike feel to it and with my 100 motor it will run pretty good too.

I suggest a Pitster Pro for sure too! They have an awsome build quality and a very competative bike. Ill be on one of their new lxr's sometime next year hopefully. I full linkage styled rear suspension that is sooooo nice.
