Does anybody know what year of CR250 head gasket people use on a 250R to increase compression? How much thinner is it? And what kind of material is it made from? Thanks...

Back when I did that, I think it was a '98 CR gasket but I could be wrong. I can get the part number this weekend. I might even have one or two still unopened if you want.
It's a single layer metal gasket. The stock R ones are 3 layers. I don't know exactly how much thinner it is but it's enough to increase your compression. Use at least premium pump gas!
The gasket is about $20 at a dealer.

I put one on my 85 250r atc from an 89 cr and it fit fine. It is about half as thick as an oem gasket.
