View Full Version : Any common problems with the '06 LTR's?

Looking at picking one up this week and want to know what to look over before i try trading it... for a Honda of course?

Shift pin, transmission (3rd gear), and sometimes bad top ends. 06s also had a linkage problem.

and the fact its not a honda,jkjk, but what he sayed, thats mainly what ive heard about them

They are A great bike i've rode a buddys severeal times , it good all around but when it comes down to it it just needs a little more umpff! [it has good suspenion good cornering but id go with a stock R or yfz over a LTR with a jet kit and exhaust] I'd go with a yfz 450 or 450R. They are good bike's though hell i wish i had one [or really any other race bike right now]

Ill be looking to trade it for a 2004-2005 TRX450R... although any year will do.

the only major problem they had was that every one of them was made by suzuki.....

thats wierd, my ltr feels faster than the 450rs and yfz's ive rode:ermm:

My LT-R holds it's own nicely with YFZ's and TRX's.

So you won the 16-20B AMA/ATVA NHS? I was at Rd 1 didn't get to race, won Rd 2, shocks were at GTThunder for Rd. 3 and 4, called Chuck and he said that since I had missed more than 1 Rd I wasnt elligible to win points any more, so I didn't bother showing up... How'd you get credit for it?
