clutch rollers

Are there rollers that are better than others? Koso vs. Malossi? We seem to be going through a set of rollers every race. I notice this when the bike loses most of its bottom end and runs well top end. We are running 30 min desert races so they are getting hot and getting huge flat spots on them. I was told malossi last a bit longer.Any suggestions?

I would say something is wrong with the variator.

variator looks good and is fairly new. is there something specific to look for? this timethey looked like they melted and were almost to the metal on one side.

Check to make sure the center bushing is not loose. Mine came loose and had similar problems. I put a new variator in and the problem was fixed.

Dr Pulley rollers seem to last the longest from our experience

we had same problem put in new variator all was good, unless these mach6 rollers are just that good

sounds to me you have a heat build up problem,we ran the same malossi rollars all summer and they are still in the quad.

i have seen this happen to other people and once they got the heat redused in the clutch cover it took this problem away.

as others have said heat is your issue, I would check the variator allignment and for belt slipping. and let the cvt cover breathe some air.

You also could use the DR.Pulley sliders.

As Mark said HEAT let the clutch and variator keep kool. Drill holes and run the cvt cover. Cool means better clutching. JMO
