hey guys i just got a 2000 400ex an i know nothing about the 400ex, so you guys are gonna hear from me alot lol. My first question is what are some simple mods im going to get the most gains from? how hard is it to adjust the valves? thats it so far thanks in advance

Best first mod to buy, 400EX Tech manual. 40-45 bucks. Best mod I ever bought.

protect you and it first...that means helmet, gloves, boots, skids, jersey, pants...not necessarily in that order...then

then suspension and controls...make yourself comfortable on the bike...handlebars, grips, etc...if you are comfortable, then you'll be more at ease when going faster..upgrading the suspension allows you to go much faster than any minor performance mods...the stock suspension really can't handle the stock performance of the motor...

next would be motor mods...what ever you can think of here...

thanks for the info guys. speedy i already have all the gear helmet googles boot gloves riding pants chest protector ect. what would b a good setup for trail riding suspension wise

def. the gt thunder rear link and revalve for xc and to go "cheap", some honda 450r front shocks... as is or if ya wanna drop some more greenback, get them revalved also...there are more options if ya wanna drop lots o'cash...
