need some parts for a 86 ATC motor...

hey guys... looking for some random things for a atc 250r but im sure that they are the same with all the years...
i need
the bolts and the little holder that holds the counter blancer in..
a good clutch basket(the part that the steels slide on it)
i would like to have a TRX carb.. a pj... i have the ATC's but they are old and i dont know if i like their style...

i also need a 88 89 stator... or a 86 harness...

I have some 86 atc250r harnesses, I might have some 86-89 pj carbs, I have a 38 pj for sure.

ok sweet... how much is there differnt from a trx and ATC?

Im not sure if there is a differernce between the carb years. I have a stock 85 carb i dont need. I have another 34 pj, not sure what year, but it is taper bored. The reed side mesures 36mm inside diamater, and it fits in the stock boot, the Filter side measures 58mm (stock is 54mm). I went to a 38 A/S with my 310 so i have no need for either of these carbs. Either carb will come with slide, cap, and throttle cable. Pm me if you wanna talk price.

are you putting the motor in a trx or atc? the harness won't work very good in a trx. I also have a 85 wiring, thats just the cdi, kill, and wires to coil. it won't work if you are using lights.

I have the clutch inner hub, ATC or TRX wiring harness and a stator. I also have an 86 motor to part out but the counter balancer holder and long bolt is broken. PM me if interested for a price.

im putting the motor in a trx... its a 86 atc... it is the same as the 86 trx right?

Back in 03 I did the same thing. I put a 86atc bottom end with a 88 top end on it and put in it a 88 frame. The 86 tranny will outrun the 87-89 ones. Worked great. Pretty sure both the 86atc and 86 trx motors are compatible.

how did you like the set up? im just doing it because i got a fairly good deal on the motor and it was cheaper then fixing up my trx...

I liked it alot. The cylinder was mx ported with boyesen rad valve,bill's pipe/silencer,cool head,36pj carb,14/37 gearing with holeshot rears. Ran really good on the track-never really trail rode it.

i tried to buy it back also. the guy was my brothers best friend and he sold it to some guy in chippewa falls. i had all the money but he gave the other guy it. it was a very nice quad for 3grand.
