Recently bought a 400ex and have had nothing but problems with it. Recently after running it for 5 minutes I turn the bike off and white smoke comes from the engine. Nothing out of the tailpipe. I also noticed that I have been going through alot of oil. I am not mechanically inclined at all so I turn to ya'll for help. Thank you. I just had the valves adjusted last month btw.

If your burning oil its prolly rings or valve seals. Where is white smoke coming from? Your headers could be loose. Could have a blown head gasket. Check all the way around the head to see if there is any oil leaks anywhere. Check to make sure your oil lines arent leaking. Pull your plug see what it looks like. If possible do a compression check.

It looks like oil is leaking in the front of the motor. I am checking the plug today. I am hoping it is the gasket and not the rings.

Sounds like a bad head gasket to me man.......
