i bent my subframe for my yz250f pretty good and i wanna pick a cheap used one and saw a lot on ebay. i was wondering what years were the subframes the same. my bike is an 06 i know they went to an aluminum frame for 06 so i doubt any previous model years would fit but what about 07s or 08s or even 09s? would their subframes fit the 06?

I imagine 06-09 are the same, however bike bandit shows a different part number for every year on their micro fiche. 2010's I'm almost 100% sure are different. Anything 05 and below ran a steel frame. Don't forget that 450's also run the same subframes, so you can look for those as well.

I know you can run anything up to 08 and PROBOLY 09 but im not 100% positive about 09. 06-08 for sure man

More then welcome man, good luck on the subframe. For some reason yamahas twist a little bit more then anyone else ive seen. My brother and 2 of his friends ride 06-08 yz250f's and all of their subframes are tweaked a little bit from various accidents

There is/was an aftermarket brand that built/builds subframes, but i cannot remember the name. They sold for 179 bucks a couple years ago. Maybe look into that if thats alot cheaper than oem. maybe ac racing :confused:

AC racing used to have them...

My 05 is slightly bent from a crash that I didn't think was that bad. They bend extremely easy. The only issue I had with mine being bent was installing an aftermarket pipe.

ive not had much luck with the AC stuff i have ran. I have saw some guys run AC nerfs for years then when i start buying their stuff it didnt last no time for me....i am quite a thrasher though haha
