i bought a pair of works shocks (triple rate, no rezzies) they built the shocks customized for my weight and riding style, but the shocks bottom out almost all the time. Does anybody out there have this same problem? Does anybody have any other ideas on shocks to help me out? I ride mostly mx tracks with occasional trips to the dunes.

I would say they are not valved right. Did you get them new? if so you should be able to send them back and have them revalved.

If you bought them new and it has been with in 90 days (I believe) if they were bought from works then call them up and they will fix them for you...

i bought them more then 90 days ago. So, i take it nobody has had this problem before? how much does it cost to get them revalved, since i will probably have to pay for it now.

no if you go to the works website they say that if the setup isnt working for you that you can send it back so they can get it right.

Wait I found this quote
"They follow through with a 30 day "Performance Guarantee" which means that the ride and handling will meet your expectations or Works will re-spring and re-valve the shocks at no charge."

Try and adjust your preload by moving the top ring down about 4 places. That will help stiffen up the springs.

I recently bought the same shocks but I never rode on them yet due to the cold weather up here and I asked them about that 30 day thing because I won't be riding till march, and they assured me that they will take care of me if the shocks are not right.

A friend of mine bought these for his 250r about 2 years ago and his were set too stiff to the point the steering suffered. he is sending his in but will have to pay.
