when i get my liscence this august im probably gettin a 1995 mustang. i can't wait. im gonna have to sell my quad and get something cheaper maybe a mx blaster or sumthing but i really want a car. so lets see your mustangs!!!!!!!!!!! i want mine to look like this

That red one needs a little more meat on the ground, tires are too small. I personally would like to have an '87-'93 GT (better body style), JMO. A friend of mine had a '95 and he didn't like it too well, he said it was one of the weakest GTs w/ only like 215hp. My cousin had an '86 GT, it was fast as shiot! :devil

My brother has a 1997 Cobra 25K miles, supercharged, all forged, 410 rear (I think, whatever it is for Ford, 411 or 410, I'm an Olds man!!) lowered, suspension, lots more, can't think of it all. He had it dynoed, right around 450 HP at the rears. Over 500HP at the flywheel. He's asking 23K for it. Anyone interested?????

Hears my dads its still under construction but should be done this spring its a 1970 BOSS but he likes pink dont no wats wrong with him lol. It has the boss stripe but its done in ghost flames look good in the sun. He also has the motor but now it pushes 525 hp. I think he should have put it back the way it should be but to each his own.

From what my dad has told me my truck can outrun a stock 5.0 mustang. I guess it has to do with it being lighter and all. Mine is a automatic with a clutch kit in it. Fastest my dad ever dared was 130 but then he had to stop. He believes it could go well near 200. Don't know just saying what he said.

unless you have some SERIOUS mods(like 500-600hp) your never gonna get 200mph out of it, be lucky if you get 150mph. your not areodynamic enough

plus a stang is lighter than ANY truck. stangs dont have frames, there unibody, each peice of sheet metal is welded to the next, thats why when they get into accidents they dont come back out. my ranger is over 4000lbs my stang was 3600 i beleive

My shortbed '85 S-10 with a 355 and iron heads weighed 2910lbs. with me in it. That was with an all steel body. The only thing I had on it that would reduce weight were a set of Weld aluminum wheels and the factory bench seat was replaced with 2 plastic racing buckets.

Plus, unibody cars can be repaired. Ever go to a body shop and see a unibody stretcher?

i had an 88 mustang cobra GT 5sp 5.0 wow what sweet car. had to get rid of her though:(
one of two things would have happened. i would either become really close with a telephone pole or part ways with my license. that car was too easy to drive fast. now i drive slow in my truck:D

It is a 86 Ford Ranger. It has glasspacks on it right now but this summer we are gonna put the flowmasters on it. My dad ain't on no pipe. Just cigarettes! I believe him. This thing will spin tires in all 3 gears. It can go 130 I know but I do believe if opened up it could go faster than that. Too bad the speedo would break. It only goes to 85 LOL. He hit 85 on the paved part of our dirt road and trust me that ain't long. Believe me or not I think it will go at least 180 if not more.

You guys have got to be kidding me. First off your truck will not go even close to 180. A ls1 corvette has a hard time reaching 176mph.

Then the only reason that the mustang is doing so good is because that the v6 version is the one that is most sold.

Just how does he know he was going 130 if the speedo only goes to 85? I'm sorry but if that truck had enough power to do 180, it should spin 4 or 5 gears. My S-10 w/ 4.3, 5-speed will spin 4 gears and I know mine's not even close to being THAT fast. If it is then it's not street legal! :huh

If the stang is lighter than a 2wd ranger, it isn't by that much. I have an 87 ranger X-cab, mine is a 4x4 and it still only weighs about 3300 lbs. That 86 2wd is probably way under 3000lbs.

Jay's 300 it only has 3 foward gears. My dad is good at guessing speed. The hand was all the way past the place where you reset your trip. He wants to see how fast it will go but he ain't got nowhere to open it up.....Mitch400EX it doesnt have no back seats. Only two people can sit in it. And yes it's a 2wd that wont go nowhere if in snow.

Nobody is saying your dad is lying but I think his perception of speed is a little skewed. You're saying your 302 Ranger is faster than a ZO6 Corvette or a Viper? Wind resistance grows exponentially the faster you go meaning at 100mph your truck may have 2x the resistance that a Vette might but at a 150mph you could have 5x the resistance. What transmission is your dad using in that truck and what is the gear ratio in the rear end??

I don't know. All I know is it has a stock 5.0 Ho fuel injected Mustang motor in it, the rear axle is a stock one,the trans is a t-3 or something like that. I don't know much about engines. I'll have to ask em and see. He needs to see how fast it will run not saying id go that fast.

i seem to recal reading about the worlds fastest truck a year or two ago. it was infact a ranger. newer generation. all fiberglass body with a built motor. i can not be certain about the engine size weather it was a big or small block. i dont have the article. but in the bonival (sp) salt flats it ran like an average speed of close to 200 mph. This truck was a full mod nothing close to stock. So im pretty sure your truck isnt gonna be close to 200mph. maybe 200 kmh i dunno. im with Guy on this one and his 355 S-10

Mathmatically speaking, it would be possible to go 200mph on a piece of paper. I don't know what the final ratio of the T-5 is but I guessed at .80:1. Figure this in with a rear end gear of 3.23 (again, I just had to guess) with a rear tire diameter of 25 inches you could get the truck very close to 200mph if you could sustain 7000 engine RPM. Trouble is, that's just math on paper and figures in nothing but drivetrain RPM's. It does not calculate vehicle weight, coefficient of drag, vehicle frontal area, rolling resistance, drivetrain loss, etc. All of which would substantially decrease the top speed of the vehicle. If this Ranger did 135mph I'd consider that lucky.

It probably has a 3.45:1 rear end that is what most rangers come with. THe 3 speed auto has no o/d, so you would get to the redline real quick.

it got there pretty quick, 0-60 in a about 7.0sec, not TOO shabby but certainly nothing to write home about.

your Ranger would be lucky to hit 100, with glasspacks which is just a sound thing, and thats it, my truck has a 350 in it and it will BARELY do 100, but it is alot heavier, but still, your dad did too much PCP and LSD in his day, cause he dont know a Ranger from his @sshole

Its there just not real visable in the pic. It was custom bent by the chassis shop by my house. only running a six point and its very snug to the shell and roofline..the rear braces follow the lines of the hatch for full use of the back seat, but I do want to get it x braced. its a probe 347 stroker, cannfield heads ported by excessive motorsports, custom lunati soild roller cam, ported gt40 lower with a downs box upper, 75mm tb. 76mm C&L, custom chip by jds,and a 300nos big shot kit( onlu used the 175 jets so far). also running a c4 with brake, 10" coan converter, ect....

My friend has a ranger with a 347 stroker that also has air ride and NOS. It has so much stuff on it enginewise to name but he said before he does NOS it pushes 800 HP on a dyno and expected 1100 with NOS.. Dont know how accurate that is though.
