just changed the pads, now the wheels wont freely move. i've changed brakes before but i've never had this much stinking problems! if i loosen up the parking brake plate a little, the wheels are fine. is there an adjustment i'm missing?

yep, it is the get rid of the worthless parking brake and get a block off plate...but other than that...this can be normal with some brands of pads as they are just a hair thicker

Yea, remove the cable and buy the block off plate. They're less the 10 bucks. Unless you're the first person I've ever seen that has a working parking brake on their 400ex.

i've been meaning to get it off, but that ended up being the issue. i had to drill out the bore in the parking brake plate just a little bit.
