OK
A and B are the 2 cables that conect together with the stock switch. on pic 1 i show the inside of the stock switch, on pic 2 i show the plug on front of the quad. B is the positive that tranfer to A once you put the quad in run.pic 3 is the kill switch i got, on pic 4 C is the positive wire that comes out of the kill switch, D is a wire jumped on the male plug of the C wire and E is a ground cable.
now if i conect the groung like the pic an then i conect the C cable to B it dont work bc A and B must be conectet to get the start signal. if i plug C no B and jump D to A circuit is always on and if i let go the kill switch when i unplug the key and the kill swicth close it blows the red fuse on pic 5

any help will be great!!!!!!!!

I'm old w/a bad memory maybe some else can remember or Chris knows...The DS use to have a kill they removed it for legal reason but there are factory wires there you splice into black/black-white dont matter how....Heres a pic of ours w/ a connector.....

here is the thing mine is an 08 i don’t know if they had those cables, i was searching on other forums an they put one cable to the key switch,
My? Are logically simple i think
1- the only way you get switch is when A-B are together, is obvious that is you contact a ground to a positive wire you will get a shortcut, so that’s why i blow the fuse.
if i pull back the switch there is no contact between A-B to create that function

its impossible I cant have a KILLSWITCH !!!!! hehehe

The black and black/white wires are on the key switch loom. Use those for a normally open killswitch (pro design etc.)

To wire into the on/off button on the switch block you need a normally closed killswitch. (pingel etc.)

ok the mine is a normally open, but the black wire and the black and white wire have 2 diferent functions the b/w wire always have power and the black wirecoutinue the signal once the stock switch goes to on, if you gound a positive wire you blow your fuse!!!!!!!
the b/w cable gets powered whe you put your key switch in on.
thats why i put the pics and indicate wires with letters so i can undestand how this works...

08's do not have the two wires coming off the CDI.

On my 08 I wired a normally open kill switch into the key switch wires (Black and Black/white) There is a third wire that you need to make a jumper for or the quad will not start. Not near my quad right now, but if you trace the wires off the key switch you will see the third wire. I believe I jumped the solid black wire to that third wire but it has been about 9 mos since I did this, I am getting old too (Maybe not as old as Terry but close LOL)

DONE!!!! thank's Criss
The A-B must be jump, the ground near the stearing join and the other one to the black an white wire at the key switch.

Ok... i know i am bringing back a old thread but just got my 08 ds and don't have the killswicth wire so...

here's my choice : a gunnar NC Killswitch or a pro design one.....

If i 've understood correctly, the gunna will be on the factory red kill switch wire circuit

the pros design should be on the ingnition key...

am i right ?

Next question : in this thread. you said in a case of a pro designn NO, i have to put the ks on the b/w and solid black wire.... third wire should be tap on the solid black one... but WHICH one :P

I'll post pic of my wiring this afternoon!

That is Correct 08 connect to the black, black/white at key switch plug N.O. killswitch

09 have a plug in the harness with the the same wires alreadly connected it has a plug like the one on the cooling fan with a cap on it it in the front by the 3 relays

ok... in a case of NO ... just tap both wire on the b/w and solid black !?!?! no third wire to tap somewhere ?!?!?

Like it was said in the top of the thread, te b/w always have curent in...so ...

Am i better tu put a grunnar on the factory dead switch ..sound's like it's a lot less problem...

Cause i hate the pingel model all metal with a R pin... the gunnar is exactly like a pros design ( fork type) and it's more...common ..
