Moving over!!!

Just sold my 07 400EX and bought a used 07 450ER. I got what I think is a great deal on the 450. I paid $3100 for the bike and a friend of mine knows the guy who traded it in. He swears the guy barely rode the thing and from the looks of it he is right. It's the black version with the flames, which I don't really care for, and has the HRC kit and it freaking rips. I thought it was a good price what do you guys think? It's a little late now but I just wanted some opinions.

Sounds like an awesome price, how much did you sell your 400ex for, the 450 trade-up couldn't have been that expensive

I was debating on changing my a-arms and front shocks on the 400 and it was going to run around $2000 to do it the way I wanted it. I ran across this 450 and ended up selling my 400 to a friends brother for $2300. The dealer was only going to give me $2000 on a trade and not budge on the 450's price ($3500). I probably could have got more a few hundred more for my 400 had I held out but it's only costing me $800 to get basically a brand new 450 with the HRC kit and better suspension than my 400. All in all I feel pretty good about it, I guess that's all that matters. Especially since my boy knew the guy that traded the 450 because he never rode it.

Plus, I was debating between the 450 and the 400 when I bought the 400 to begin with. So, now I have the bike I wanted originally but was too apprehensive to buy in the first place.
