blaster problems

my buddy has a blaster and he says it will start up and run. he can put it in first and neutral and thats it. it wont shift to second or anything else. i dont know much about the quad. what could the issue be?

sounds like a shift fork problem or something else in the transmission. Looks like its time to split the cases!!
