i realy dont know what is wrong with my quad but heres what i do know

i need a battery and tires....thats all iv got

i had my carb cleaned and rebuilt, the whole quad is back to completly stock but it still runs like crap

maybe i cant get it warmed up all the way i dont know. so far i have to push it down a hill to start it and it doesnt start half the time so i end up pushing it back up the hill (or pull it with the lawnmower:D ) i just want to get more opinions on what could be wrong and the 300 section doesnt get much traffic so.......

why doesn't the starter work? check your valve lash (.004 for both intake and exhaust)

Have you looked at it sense you put the brand new one in there? If not, go look at it and tell me what it looks like.

Now to the thread starter... You say you need a new battery. Is this why you are coasting it down the hill to catch in gear? It doesn't crank, or cranks slowly? Need a little more info to help you out.

it NEEDS a new battery just so i can tell if im having actual problems. i think it just hasn't been able to warm up cause its been 30-40 degrees every day for like a week and a half. i push it down the hill to catch it in gear and it sometimes starts but then it dies 5 min later and takes me 15 to start it again. it barly ever idles though thats one of my main concerns i think theres actualy a problem not just that its cold
