Odi Rouge's - lock on technology is the only way to go, and the grip pattern is awesome for long days.

I am running Spider grips as well as many others on this site. Can get them on ebay for about $12 shipped to your door.

i found the odi rouge's on ebay!! they come with what looks like a locking end cap!! i see on the 400 you unscrew the endcap on the bars and should be able to pull off the grips!! how do the ODI's install on stock bars?

Install on the ODI's is super easy,

Simply remove the stock grips and end caps

loosen your controls (Brake, Throttle, Clutch Levers) since Odi's are slightly longer than stock with the locking rings, your controls need to move about an 1/8-1/4 inch,

Slide the new grips on, tighten the locking rings,

Adjust your controls and tighten to the position you prefer.

Done, enjoy grips that never slide, move, loosen etc. They will stay in place for the life of the grip without a doubt.

You won't regret it, they are what $18.99, some people around here say thats way to much to spend on grips, which is hilarious.

The one thing you are touching no matter what you ride - grips

A pair of crap grips that spin out of your hands which you need to replace all the time = $8, two pairs your at the price of Odi's

Oury and ODI from my experience are great! I hear Spider is good too but I havent tried them.

I guess I'm the only one using Milano Gel grips? I've used many, many different brands and I like these the best.

I had the Pro Taper Pillow Top grips; very comfortable and grippy! Now I have the Renthal kevlar grips; not as comfortable, but pretty close, and they seem to be holding up better. Would definitely like to try a set of those lock on grips though- do they work with twist throttles?

I am also running the ProTaper Pillow Tops, thay are very comfortable. I was going to get the Odi ones but they did not have them at my local dealer and I kinda needed new ones that day. Maybe I will get the odi's next time.

it don't really matter what size you order...a friend of mine is an odi dealer and he hooked me up with a set that were a little shorter since i was having some fitment issues with my flexx bars...everything fit, but the few extra mm that the shorter ones gave me was nice...

if you want, i can hook you up with him...

I've done Spiders, scott, and out of all I like my Oury's the best. But you have to have big enough hands...they are thick.

Yeah, I forgot to mention. I bought "Pro Grips" from my local quad repair shop and they are very comfortable but they slip. Even with glue and stainless wire.

I have taken them off three times now and re-glued and wired them. This time they are stuck properly but I used "contact cement" instread of grip glue.

The guys at the shop said they have had a few complaints. To me, the Pro Taper grip glue does not hold.

Anyhoo, the grips are comfortable, and I don't seem to be wearing them out as fast since I put on a steering damper.

EDIT: I do not race.

How do these lock-on grips lock-on actually?

Some sort of insert that goes in the bar ends?

If so, then how do you go about running these with hand guards that also connect with inserts in the bar ends.... such as ProBends?

My EX needs new grips pitifully bad!

I 2nd both of these... ODI was a little harder compound, but they dont slide off in the rain like everyother pos grip i've had.

I find the sigs useful myself.

I like them because they let me know who has what, and who to ask about specific stuff.

Also, under certain topics, it gives me an idea of what poster has done what and has experience with what...

Proves useful sometimes.

For instance, by just looking at mine...

You might tell my opinion about competition.

Or you might know to ask me my opinions between Jardine & Yoshimura Exhaust... or Pro Armor & PRM... or ITP & Maxxis... or 400's & 450's... etc...

The lock on ring goes around the bar so it won't cover the open bar end that the hand-guards slide into. I will get up-close pictures tonight and post tomorrow, after a long weekend of riding, I love mine even more.

As promised, pictures of my Odi Rogues installed.

The plastic end cap will pop right off (or just never put it on) if your installing Handguards. Love these grips

Also, if you could, please do a search. There are my many threads on which type/brand of grip to use with many different prespectives..

God I love this site! :D ;)
