i just thaught id let yall know i got my new fmf powerbomb today. it looks real nice, no pics yet but as soon as its on the machine i will get some pics up. think ill need to jet for this bad boy? i doubt i will but well see, i have it a little rich on the main and i think it will pull it into prime. i wish they made half size mains.


anyhow any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

You should definitely notice a power increase with the bigger header. The stock one is just too restrictive for a 440. I noticed a good top end gain with my full system.

thats the specific reason i got this pipe.... it works and sounds so well with the hmf, the fit and finish is so nice and the second main reason is it was supposed to quiet it down some.... well it didnt in my opinion, i think it just made it more bass sounding than snappy or crackly. i love it. its like a glasspack, deep throaty sound.

i ordered it from motosport.com $252 bones thow.

the most of the power gain i feel is in the mid to top too, but still made some dif in the bottom too. my ltz feels like a 300ex now compared to my ex.

the only thing i dont like is that there stainless steel. (not bad just discolors) i dont like how it turns blue around the welds and brownish gold everywhere else, if it all got that smoky blue i would love it. or if it stayed the "chrome" steel it was before i really would have liked it then.


all in all thow i have to say im happy with the gains, im happy with the fit, im happy with the sound, and im ok with the color. its another good buy in my opinion.

My HMF header did the same thing. It blue where it comes out of the head and then the rest turned into a goldish color.

I helped my buddy installe the power bomb on his 400ex last night. Seemed to make the exhaust deeper and in my opinion sound better. As for quit.... its anything but haha

Really nice looking pipe though!

powerbombs are a stock replacement.. meaning they'll work with any slip on.

pipeless is right its a stock replacement, i cant seem to get my camera to work right so im not sure how long this is gonna take, sorry guys. but i can say its a bad mofo and i love the deep sound.

man my wheelers are dirty right now, im kinda shamed to let yall see em this way!! i never even sprayed the mud off after the last weekend ride. lol.

the thing is great if you already have a slipon and want the full pipe, i love it, its only downfall is the discoloring from its beautiful stainless chrome when it first comes in the box, to the bluish gold it is now. oh well!!! small price to pay for a good pipe.
