My 416 has done fine without HD headstuds until now. I was takin the carb off yesterday and noticed oil that has seeped out of the head gasket. So i put it back together, started it and oil is bubbling from the gasket. I guess its time to tear it apart and install some HD stud. Does the stud kit come with the roll form tap that is required, or do i have to buy one seperately?

Also, since i'll have the quad half-way tore down, i'm gonna take it the rest of the way apart and paint it to hold me off till i can afford PC.

What do ya'll think; Candy red frame with white swingarm and accents? Or White frame with candy red swingarm and accents?

The roll tap is not included with the HD studs. Its about $35 for the tap

white is a pain to maintain but if you get a crack in your frame/weld its really easy to find..

i'm leaning more torwards the white frame. i see alot of 450's in white and red, but not alot of 400's.

I'm kinda' partial to white swingers myself.....It'd probably look dope with a red frame.

no no, i was having the hardest time deciding between white and black, and everybody said white shows too much dirt.. well i clean mine all the time as well lol. i just think white would look different with all the red and black. anyway, back to your thread!

I'll never do white plastic on anything ever again! I'd come home from a few days of riding and they'd be near impossible to clean up. I scratch my stuff up too some places I ride and you can't hide nothing on white.

i'm not puttin white plastics on it, i know those are a b**** to clean. I've decided to go with the white frame and red accents. I'm gonna tear it down in a few days after i get my parts ordered. works sucks right now because of the weather, so things will be kinda slow
