starting problem

i was at thunder in the sand this weekend i raced saturday and my quad was fine when i got on it i put the choke on started it rode around for five minutes then shut it off. i went to start it back up maybe 2 minutes later and it took like 5 minutes of kickin to get get it going.

i was wondering what the issue could be. could it be a dirty filter or does it sound more like the valves need adjusting?

sounds like dirty filter caused too tight of valves.. when were they last adjusted and how long was the dirty filter in?

Did it run fine and start normally after you got it going?

yep it started right up and ran fine

I would check the valves just to be sure.

Probably just fouled up the plug running it around with the choke on.
