I went to buy one and they said they are discontinued. what is the next best.

I've used a few Ricky Stators in other bikes and quads with good luck, but never in a 250R. Never seen anything negative about them in 250R's until I read this. Just curious, why do you say they're no good?

over the last few months there has been negative reports on this forum and others about them either being no good intially or crapping out shortly after installation. again, this is absed on my readings in the past few months to a year or so. it is rumored that the company has changed hands. :confused:

yup same here. i hear their ****ting out. you could get a nice older one but i would shy away from the new ricky stuff. I didnt know moose made one that would prolly be a good solution.
