for a stock link frame or for a aftermarket no-link frame? what brand of frame if that is the case?

I'm getting someone here in Canada to build me a new frame. we are going to take a stock 89 frame and copy the geometry and we are placing the rear shock mount 1 to 1/5 inches higher than the stock location.

Why not get him to build you a swingarm too?

Otherwise your best bet is to check out LSR - they have some no-link swingarms for sale for cheaper.

if you are moving the upper mount on the frame from stock location you can use pretty much any 88-89 swinger in a no link config. (just mount the no link shock right to it)

The guy only builds frames, he usually builds dune buggies, go carts and some quad frames but no swingarms.

LSR doesnt make a good swing arm... go with IMS ROLL or Houser... LSR's crack really really easy... another thing you can do is call up Dave Porter from prp and see what he can do for you. 315 723 3475

another thing you can do is depending on where you shock mount will be on the swinger you can use a OEM swinger mounting location... just gonna have to get the mounting spot right on the chassis. I have one like the Lobo's...

I already talked to PRP and Tony at Tigor racing makes all of PRP's products. I can get a new swingarm through Tigor racing for $500.

I would never run a stock link swingarm in a no-link configuration, it just wouldn't look right to me and I think it would not perform correctly. I want to use a no-link swingarm. I'm going to race MX with this bike.

dont be scared of a Lonestar swingarm. There are people that may have had problems with them but there is nothing wrong with the swingarms. I have a complete Lonestar Outlaw Banshee with a no-link and have never had cracking problems.

Roll is definitely the better choice but those are the only 2 I would use with Roll being the first choice and Lonestar the 2nd and I agree with the comments about the stock link swingarm as a no-link is not a good idea. The shock angle is wrong and does not perform to its potential in that configuration. It lays the shock down at too high of an angle and does not provide the correct amount of control that is needed. This is why Roll and Lonestar DC4 has the lower shock mount below the swingarm and use a much longer shock. It works very well.
