so i was changing the oil in my bike the other day and as i was waiting for all the oil to drain so i took my head light off. i want to keep the neutral light and reverse light so im going to mount them under the fenders i already know how im going to do it, But the big problem is that no matter where i plug the neutral light into it wont light up.. the light works and ive tried both powers and the green and red wire are connected to each other... whats the problem?!? the light works and every thing so im lost

i posed this in the 300 spot and the body spot and no reply's lets see what happens here

did you check the fuses? also, maybe its something as small as the bulb burned out. check those two things. could be a simple as that.

did the neutral light mount to metal when it was in the pod ? if so, the light probably has to grond to something to work.
?????

witch fuse the one on the side of the sub frame?!?!.... that's a 20amp and it works because the bike runs perfectly =o.....and all the wires that you hook the light up to work.

so you have power to the lamp but it's not lighting ? only problem then is either blown bulb or ground.

it could be the ground i guess...but the light works perfect if u hook it to the battery

make sure your wire is still plugged in at the neutral switch. i'd bet your using a test light not a multimeter? the light should be ground side switched, so no ground no light. worth a shot...

the nutral light has to be plugged into the original place. its a specific wire for the neutral

i'm just trying to clarify here, you unplugged the nuetral light from its original spot and you are trying to plug it in some where else?

the neutral light was on the headlight pod but he removed the headlight and hes trying to relocate the neutral light onto the plastics. thats what I gathered

correct it works just not in the right spot =(..... i took the test wire and ran it from the ground on the battery to the spot where the green and red wire go to and it made the light light up but it stayed light upp in all the gears ?!?! im sooooo confused.... is there like a hidden fuse that i cant seem to find?? because ive followed the whole wireing harness and i only see one fuse spot and they are both perfect

ya its aot brighter in real life we had to use a shop light so you could see the bike a little so it made the light look not as bright as it is.

Do you really even need the lights? Can't you tell when you're in neutral or reverse without the light to tell you?
