View Full Version : Yamaha's new 450 four stroke

Anybody seen this yet? fuel injection in the front and the exhaust comes out the rear of the motor. I think it makes sense but I'm sure they could of figured out how to get rid of the "tornado" pipe and just run it straight without losing back pressure. seems kind of counter productive. Wonder when these motors are gonna hit the YFZ.

ya. old news, would be cool in the YFZ-R though.

BTW: they've had this technology in they're scooters for quite some time now

Also Cannondale used the reverse cylinder design. I always thought it made pretty good sense to put the intake on the front.

HAHAHA well I don't follow scooters too closely. and i didn't follow yamaha until I got my raptor a month ago....my bad.

shoulda bought a scooter instead of that raptor. way more power and suspension. its crazy how much more advanced the technology is in scooters and dirt bikes compared to the four wheeler world! :p
