fuel customs intake

anyone ever run one of these on there 05 ??? and take off the airbox?

I run it with no airbox sometimes. Useally have it on though. I did not mount the intake to the box. Mounted it with the fuel custom mount and cut the stock air box so I can remove the airbox with out touching the filter. Air box comes out the bottom after removing the 3 mounting bolts. Works fine and I've been on some muddy tracks. I wouldn't do it for trail riding that included water crossings though.

how do you like the fci compared to stock? my cousin is thinkin about getting one but doesnt wanna spend 200$ if the power gain isnt that noticable.....
