I started a full rebuild of my 87 250R abd ordered up replacement bearing kits from pivot works. When I was assembling the rear linkage they don't fit the two small bushings are to large? I ordered for the year of my quad but am not sure what year the linkage was off of. I assumed they were 87 as well, the bushings are about 1mm to big. Anyone had this problem before or do I have 88-89 linkage on there and just not know it. Any thoughts on fixing the problem? I was thinking about having them drilled out.

Contact Pivot Works first. They are RIDICULOUSLY helpful. All of my experiences with them have been great, they go out of their way to ensure I have the correct parts.

so the inside diameter is ok but the outside is too big? or is the inside diameter AND the outside diameter to big?

maybe it somehting you can get if you have a really worn linkage and normal sized bushings are too loose.

to set the record straight, 86-89 use the same linkage piece, bushings, collars and bolt. The difference is 85/86 atc/trx had a longer dogbone and 87-89 had a different length one. Its very possible that someone put 85 atc parts on, most of those linkage parts are 1 year only.
