How-to remove ball joint from a-arms???

I was wanting to know if anyone could help me, i need to remove the ball joint from my a-arms, ive got the snap rings off and they all off my quad. PLEASE HELP

y do u need to take them out.........i dont think stock ball joints come out

pappy is PCing my a-arms and he told me to take them out. it is possible

you will need a BFH ( big f***in hammer), a hacksaw..... and possibly a blow torch;)

i now pappy knows his sh*t but i think he may have been mistakin because im 99.99% sure you cant take out the ball joints on stock a arms

250ex a arms fellas...not 400ex. and from what im told they are removable....

i'm not 100% sure it's on the site, but you might can take a stroll around "servicehonda.com" and see if
there's a schematic for the 250ex.

i went in with no manuel, and figured out how to remove my axel, and carrier, just from that site (300ex)

check that out, or maybe do a search for 250ex schematics or something

Don't worry Nate I have the 250 too and tried to take the ball joints out to get my a-arms powdercoated as well. I had the whole front end taken apart and I was wailing the snot out of the ball joints and they wouldn't come out either. Then I thought, hmmm, maybe they are not supposed to come out? I called the service tech at the Honda shop and he told me that they are permanently sealed ball joints. 'Oh rats' is what I said (yeah right, I dropped about 10 f-bombs after I hung up the phone!) If you have screwed up your arms too much you can get factory replacements for like $45. You could paint them yourself from a can though if you wanted.

no worries....if they dont come out i will strip them and paint them...either way they will look good:)

well, one reason people that PAINT thier a arms etc dont hold up is because they dont strip to bare metal...dont use a self etching primer....and apply way too much clear ( or none at all)

i did a set for a fella last summer...he sez they still look new....and he is a kid like ya'll that wont let the quad sit still:D

the ball joints on my 250ex have "C" clips holding them in. they are pressed in also.
