ok im 15 and i plan on building my own mx bike. i am going to start from scratch. my problem is which bike and whether i should go with a 4 or 2 stroke. i have no problem with eighter but ill be buying all my parts from ebay and i would have to put everything together. i would be thinking that a 4 stroke would be more complicated than a 2 stroke. i would be more worried that the 2 stroke would cause me alot of problems with fuel and air issues. let me know what u think. i would be thinking a 125 2stroke or a 150 or 250 4 stroke. ive never rode a brand 125 only pit bikes. let me know ur opinion and whether i should just go with building a 450r. thanks

if you plan on going to bikes, and your paying for everything yourself, id say go with a 125 two stroke. Once you master the clutching you can dominate on those things.

250f's are great because they require less skill, but theyre also more expensive, and if the motors goes youll be out for alot of cash.

2 stroke bikes are sexy when your on the seat...easy to rebuild and cheap... just don't know what size you can handle..but if you don't want to race it they are fun to ride around woods/recreational...4 strokes are better if you want to putt around and not foul plugs..

I had a fully built from the floor up YZ125 bored out everything you could imagine at 15 it was a sick bike it was a little much for me at the time, you should stick with a 450r BIKE ARE A BEACH to fix.

id just buy a used 00-02 cr 125 for 900-1200 and ride it, ud be way ahead of the game

no i plan a building a bike. it would work out cheaper and please tell me if ur ever gona see a 01 125 for $900?
